Titanic 3D

After 15 years, James Cameron’s classic film returns to the big screen with 3D effects that will take your breath away.

This weekend, I went and watched Titanic 3D. Some people might be like me who have watched the film more than 10 times might think “I have already seen it so why should I see it in 3D?” Well let me tell you seeing in 3D was a great experience. Before deciding to go see the film, I watched the premiere and the interviews with James Cameron and some of the cast members. James Cameron’s interview was very intriguing and his description of how the 3D experience goes deeper into the story and how it makes you feel like you are really there made me decide to go and see the film.

The film was amazing. Seeing it again and reliving the whole story and tragedy of Titanic made it seem more real and more dramatic. The audience’s emotions are heightened with the 3D effects. An example that stood out to me was after Jack (Leonardo Dicaprio) gets arrested for being set up with the Heart of the Ocean necklace when Rose (Kate Winslet) and Cal (Billy Zane) are alone and he slaps her, the audience reaction was ‘Ohhh’ with some people cringing. The whole film was amped up in every aspect. The shots were clear, breathtaking and vibrant.

I recommend that fans of the film go see the film in 3D. It is definitely a breathtaking experience. After seeing it again in 3D, I felt like I looked at the film as more of a tragedy instead of a romance. I think some people would agree that the audience can get caught up in the love story and not realize the impact and horror of what actually happened. Great film and definitely recommend seeing it in 3D!
